The ECMS Events Manager is a very powerful Calendaring system with support for multiple calendars, both private and public. Events can be entered into the system with a wide variety of information (also customizable), and includes support for repetitive events using various patterns. Even individual instances of a repetitive event can be altered without the others in the series being affected. Management is done using a familiar calendar view used in many of todays more popular scheduling programs.
Events are exportable both in an XML format as well as the global standard iCal/vCalwhich enables you and your visitors to synchronize programs such asMicrosoft Outlook, Google Calendar and other compatible Calendaring Programs with your events information complete with reminders and alarms. Using the iCal/vCal format you can even provide calendar subscription servers for programs such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
Events can also be distributed to other participating sites or users using an RSS feed when combined with the Communications Server Module giving you a much broader reach when building awareness and increasing participation.
